How do I book?
How much notice do I need to give?
We accept bookings from up to three years in advance up to the day of the event, depending on availability. During our peak season (September to March) we get busy, so please book as far in advance as you can to avoid disappointment, but due to our wide range and variety of equipment we can nearly always work something out for you.
How much does it cost?
Please see our hire options page to view our full hire range, including photos, sizes, age limits and prices. Our equipment ranges from $3 to $495 and beyond, so there is something for every budget, and if you want to hire more than 1 item, please get in contact because we can create a package price for you. Our prices vary depending on the equipment, the varying wear and tear, and the equipment's popularity, but all our current prices are clearly displayed on our website.
We have a minimum booking delivery fee of $120 – excluding travel.
What do the prices include?
All our equipment comes supplied with everything needed to operate the equipment, and if it does not, then it will say so on our website next to the item. We also offer free delivery within the Kapiti Coast. Deliveries outside of the Kapiti Coast are subject to an additional delivery charge.
When are you available?
Our entire hire range is available seven days a week, including public holidays.
How long do I get the equipment for?
Our standard hires are 4, 6, 24 or 48 hours long, but we are flexible, and therefore we have become the most reliable and popular hire company in the Wellington Region.

Do you hire overnight?
Our delivery team will ensure that the castle is delivered and collected at the times that work for you. You can hire the equipment overnight as long as it is a secure and safe area.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
We do not require a deposit unless your booking is outside of the Kapiti Coast, or you have hired an item that requires additional staff commitments to prepare (Photo Booth, Packages, etc.). Our bookings team will notify you if this is required.
We have a set deposit charge of $120 per booking no matter the equipment, value, or location.

What if I need to cancel?
You can cancel your booking at any time, all we ask is that you give us as much notice as possible. Please read our terms and conditions to see if your booking may incur a cancellation charge. Any payment made towards your booking may be refunded in the form of a voucher, less an administration fee.
How long does it take to set up or pack down the equipment?
Our set up and pack down times vary depending on the equipment, but we allow 20 minutes to set up each item and 20 minutes to pack down each item. Please contact us if you require times for specific equipment. Please allow enough time before the booking starts for the team to set up the equipment when booking.
Will you arrive on time?
Our delivery teams are provided with a schedule at the start of each day with all your booking information, and they allow enough time to travel to your location and set up the equipment. There may be unforeseen circumstances or delays, but we allow additional time between our bookings to account for this, and we have teams on standby to cover delayed bookings if required.
Our delivery team will contact you throughout the day to update you on arrival times and any upcoming delays and collection times.
Are you GST registered?

Can you set up on concrete/driveways/gravel/decking/flags/etc?
Our equipment is designed to be set up on grassed areas, but we understand that this may not always be possible at your location. You must advise of this before you make your booking with Kapiti Castles to talk this through with you and advise on the best possible solution.
We have a variety of equipment that can be used to secure our equipment to hard surfaces, but due to the additional time and recourses that this uses, there may be an extra charge. Please contact us to find out how much extra these cost.
Please note that if the equipment is set up on hard surfaces, our weather policy is stricter, and we must allow for wind speed, the surrounding area, and other conditions, and we may elect not to leave the equipment, which is at our delivery teams discretion.
